Embroidered Coverlet

The origin of this coverlet is still a mystery. The style of the flowers could be Indian but there is no linen in India and no known importation of it to India especially not in the 18th century. The dyes and weave suggest an early date. One appliqueed armorial suggest European origin, as does the lacework border.We would love to learn more about this piece.
