Albanian Vest

This long wool vest was made in the late 19th Century in the Baltic region, likely in Albania. The black felted wool is decorated with red piping in floral designs, and the inside lining is hand printed cotton, probably imported from Russia. The vest is very narrow, falling just to the wearer’s sides.
