Embroidered Panel

Small embroidered panel of linen embellished in a linear design with a central strip of alternating flowers and four leaf clovers. Strips of of wavy design above and below and all separated by narrow strips of geometrics.
The techniques involved are Chain stitch, pulled thread work and needleweaving, using coiled polychrome silk. The ground is completely covered with work save for the areas where the threads are pulled.The chain stitching is made by a sewing machine.

The purpose of this panel is unknown, could be a section of an apron or a pillow. Origin unknown as well but most likely the Balkans.
