Man’s Tzute

The tzute is an all purpose cloth used as a wrap, a carrier, a head covering or just a decorative element. This one is made of two joined red striped panels that are joined in the center with a decorative stitch. A majority of the ground is woven with polychromatic silk thread in purples, oranges, blues, and off-white. The designs are geometric, a large abstracted version of the double-headed eagle can be seen as the main motif on both panels.
Since this tzute has tassels, it was made to be worn by a man.
