Warp Ikat Silk Kurta

Ikat is a resist technique in which the threads are tie-dyed before they get woven.The ikat kurtas of Central Asia were worn by women under ikat robes. Sumptuous and expensive to produce they were worn by the rich and powerful on festive or formal occasions.
