Syrian Silk Table Cover

Two large silk panels are sewn together to form a large cover or tablecloth. The silk foundation is decorated with supplementary weft brocading of gold and white silk as well as silver metallic thread.

This type of work was produced primarily in Aleppo but could also come from Damascus.

Condition: Good, some small staining and some shattering to both metallic and silk threads
