Keffieh is a square patterned men’s shawl that is worn all over the Middle East. It can be worn either around the neck and shoulders or as a head covering. Aleppo, Syria was the production center of the most elaborate and sumptuous keffiyehs.
This fine example is made of two silk panels sewn together and is decorated with small black and white checkered field, polychrome striped borders and beautiful large scale tassels.
