Swat Embroidery

This polychromatic pink and purple embroidered square was likely made to become a pillow case. It is from the Swat valley in northern Pakistan, It features a densely embroidered field in the center. Four light pink geometric borders surround the field, separated by dense dark pink borders, similar to the style in the field.  Mounted onto brown cotton ground.
