Originally made in the city of Recht, later on this type of work was produced mainly in Isfahan . The technique was a combination of applique and embroidery, the colors vivid and the design pictorial with figures and birds as well as flowers in exuberant schemes. Recht work was also produced in yardage for export. In this panel a center medallion is surrounded by fantastic flowers, all done in chain stitch on a felted dark wool foundation.
