Purse with Playing Boys
A purse of U shape with a central compartment and a pocket on each side closed with a flap and embroidered with a scene of boys at play. The embroidery is done in satin stitch and French knot, better known as the forbidden stitch as its practitioners used to go blind and so it was outlawed.Edges embroidered in blue and white. Lined with light blue cotton.
