Short Jacket with Button Panels

This short jacket was made in Peru in the 20th century. The base of the coat is an orange felted wool that the maker decorated with white buttons in connecting diamond shapes. The hems are decorated with maroon and white diamonds filled with bright colors, and the button panels are bordered with even more brightly colored diamonds.
