Long sleeve velvet jacket with cloche sleeves and short bodice, decorated along its edges with metallic thread embroidery.
The Ottoman empire at its zenith stretched from the Atlantic coast of Africa to Vienna in the North and Iran in the East. Its fashion and style greatly influenced all local culture, thus it would be difficult to categorize cross cultural items like metallic thread embroidered vests and jackets.
This jacket is derivative of more western fashion and judging by the quality of the handwork was produced in a commercial workshop.
