Ottoman Harem Suit

Tradtional “harem outfit” from the Konya region of the Ottoman empire. It is comprised of a long sleeve Bolero style jacket and wide drawstring salvar trousers. The jacket has all over couched metallic thread embroidery of floral medallions, gold tassels and braided trim.It is lined in pale blue silk. The rectangular baggy trousers have narrow openings for the feet and are  decorated with vertical bands of matching decoration. They are lined with white linen.
