Cotton Longi (sarong) worn by the females of the Mizzoram tribes of Assam state which is in north-east India and related more to the tribes of Burma than to Hindu traditions. The simple stripe design is decorated with a floating weft weave and dangling tassels of rolled up tin can sections, beads and cowry shells.
