The design on this manuscript cover is achieved by twining warp of bamboo slats with wefts of colored cotton. The end result is similar to tapestry work. Few of the old wrappers have survived the regular ritual cleansing of the monasteries in northern Thailand where the sacred books are stored, and very few manuscripts of the type that gets wrapped in this manner are made nowadays.Zigzag design, natural dyes, two lateral edges hemmed with natural color cotton.
