Chinese Skirt (double apron)

A skirt made out of green silk satin and embroidered on the front and back panels with polychrome flowers and decorated vases. All of the embroidery is executed in stain stitch and forbidden stitch. The narrow panels are similarly decorated with flowers and butterflies, all within an embroidered border in three shades of satin stitched blue with floral design. The waistband is a red cotton, and the skirt is lined with blue silk.
