Embroidered Robe Border

Double border of a chinese woman’s surcoat; the outer border of black silk and the inner of white silk. Both borders embroidered with satin stitched silk and couched metallic thread; featuring birds in flight and flowering sprigs in a field bordered by bats and auspicious symbols.
