Embroidered Double Apron ( Skirt )
Informal skirt of a Han Chinese woman. Made of patterned red silk with two straight end panels and pleated sections, all attached to cotton waistbands, overlapping at sides, fastened with knot and loop toggle buttons. The bottom part of the rectangle end panels is appliqued with polychrome embroidery cut outs in the shape of figures in garden setting. All panels edged on sides and bottom with white silk ribbon embroidered in a blue floral sprig design.
