Bridal Kaftan

This ample proportioned kaftan is part of a bridal costume. It gets worn by the bride on her first night and as such, kaftan like this are usually stained.The ground is linen with stripes of supplementary silk warp. It is further decorated with silver ribbon embroidery in a delicate meandering vine motif.
