Armenian Embroidery
A coverlet of cotton embroidered into a grid scheme within narrow borders. The so-called Armenian embroideries are easily identifiable: coarse, indigo dyed cotton ground worked with coiled silk in mostly uncounted cross stitching. Their origin, however, isn’t that clear and could be Armenian or Indian.
