Amulet Bag

Amulets were taken very seriously in the mostly Muslim Ottoman empire. Accordingly they were worn on  a chain around the neck or as attachments to one’s belt. This pouch, to be hung from a belt, provides protection and was probably used to store a fragile or scratchable amulet.
