100 Butterfly Robe

Leading into the 20th century, silhouettes of Chinese clothing began to be more of a straight, slim fit. This black silk robe was made in the mid-late 20th century and is embroidered in polychromatic silk with 100 butterflies, which are surrounded by chrysanthemum flowers and leaves.
