Brocade Chapan

A ceremonial coat made of purple and gold brocade with a diagonal leaf motif. Lined with chintz; lining is edged in red and white ikat. Materials from three countries are joined to make this coat: India (brocade), Russia (chintz) and Uzbekistan (ikat).
