Mud Cloth (SOLD)
Mud cloths are the best known of African textiles. They are made by Bamana women. The dense application of iron rich mud to the mordanted cotton cloth results in intricate negative pattern of exposed bleached area.The pattern evloved as means of protection to the wearer whether it is a warrior, hunter or a pregnant woman.
